Award-winning Top Ten PC planetarium program that is fast, fun, and easy to use. I have had a copy of the DOS version of Skyglobe, v3.6, for years but now need a Windows based version for use on a new laptop. It plots the positions of stars, Messier objects, planets, sun and moon. Skyglobe is an astronomy program for MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows first developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and originally sold as Shareware but now available as closed-source freeware. I got my copy before there was a Web, so I didn't download it off the Web. If you try to send a check to the address, it comes back to you in the mail. For stargazing I highly recommend the shareware program Skyglobe. Paul Cella had a post here about stargazing.
